    A Glen Burnie woman who was found dead in her home Monday after police stopped her husband nearby died of alcohol-related internal bleeding, Anne Arundel County police said. A autopsy by the state medical examiner’s office in Baltimore ruled that Bonnie Grace Anthony-Garde, 50, of Roberts Court, died of gastrointestinal hemorrhaging due to excessive alcohol consumption. Her death was ruled to have occurred because of natural causes.

    Teenagers must be educated on the signs of alcohol poisoning. An inquest into the alcohol poisoning of Chris Skinner was told today youth equate passing out from booze with going to sleep. Sue Kennedy, the executive director of Alternatives for Youth, an addiction counselling agency, said youth need to be educated to learn when an intoxicated friend is in medical distress. “This crisis is going to keep happening so kids need to have the tools to deal with,” counsel Neil Jones said.

    Police said a nine-year-old boy found passed out on a playground barely conscious was very drunk. When he sobered up, police charged him with a crime, and he’s not the only one in trouble. Late last month, two kids found their 9-year old friend passed out at a Carlsbad playground. He was incoherent, his eyes glazed over, and he could barely move. They carried him to a bench and called for help. When police arrived, the 9-year-old was unresponsive on the bench. The cuts on his face, other kids said, came when he fell face first onto the pavement. The boy was rushed to the hospital and spent the night in the intensive care unit. His father, who did not wish to be identified, said he was scared “that he was going to die from alcohol poisoning.”
